$15 Minimum Wage Initiative

A citizen-initiated state statute that would gradually raise Oklahoma's minimum wage to $12 in 2027, $13.50 in 2028, and $15 in 2029, with annual cost-of-living adjustments thereafter. It would also remove several exemptions from the existing state minimum wage law.

What each outcome does

IF YES PASSES

If approved, Oklahoma's minimum wage rises in steps to $15/hour by 2029 and is then indexed to inflation; current exemptions for FLSA-covered employers, part-time, agricultural, domestic, student, and certain youth workers are eliminated.

IF NO PASSES

If rejected, Oklahoma's minimum wage remains at the federal floor of $7.25/hour, with current statutory exemptions intact.
